The net power production and net energies are displayed in all charts. Gross values are not displayed.

The data of the European Energy Exchange EEX does not cover the production of all power stations. Therefore the hourly power values are multiplied with monthly correction factors. The corrected values are displayed. The monthly sums over the corrected power values are equal to the monthly energies reported by the German Federal Statistical Office DESTATIS.
Run-of-river and pumped storage with natural feeder are combined to hydro power. The data of the European Energy Exchange EEX does not cover the production of all power stations. Therefore the hourly power values are multiplied with monthly correction factors. The corrected values are displayed.
Biomass consists of the production of:
- solid biogenic substances
- liquid biogenic materials
- biogas, sewage gas, dump gas
- and the biogenic share of waste
Since the data of EEX on biomass covers only approx. 1% of the production, this data cannot be used. Therefore the monthly energies of DESTATIS are divided by the hours per month to get an average power value. This average value is displayed.
The net production is displayed. In 2013 the gross production was 5.6% higher than the net production. The self consumption of the power stations counted 5.3% of the gross production.
Only the net production for the public electricity supply is displayed. In 2014 the gross production was 7.7% higher than the net production. The self consumption of the power stations counted 7.1% of the gross production. The self-production of companies in the manufacturing and mining sector is not displayed.

The production data of wind turbines are extrapolated from the transmission system operators on the basis of measured reference plants on the sum of all assets. This extrapolation is not error-free. Exact values for the annual production of the previous year are available in September of the following year, when the EEG billing is published. For the last year for which the annual production is available, energy corrected values are calculated and displayed.
